This is Why I Don’t Even GO to Parties

November 16th, 2007

Wow, I hate to call out my peeps at the BBC, but they need to check their writing for the sense-making before they post it. Because given what’s stated here (bolding by me) I would leave that fucking party too.

Woman raped after leaving party

A 22-year-old woman was raped after she left a party in Renfrewshire.Police said the woman was subjected to a serious indecent assault between 0430 GMT and 0500 GMT on Sunday in Whitehills, Erskine.

Detectives said she left a local party when a man walked up to her and then raped her.

Det Sgt Allan Muir said: “I would like to speak to anyone who may have heard or seen anything of significance in relation to this attack.”

Suggestion:

Detectives said the victim left a local party and was subsequently approached by a man who raped her.

Question:

What would be a “non-serious” indecent assault?
