Bill Maher had a comment on his show recently that teens who practice abstinence are 4 times more likely to participate in anal sex. Guess that's what the republican evangelists want, lol

The problem is that the abstinence only program is all about "just say no". It didn't work with drugs, it's not going to work with sex.
What they need to do is actually inform children AND adults on what sex is and what sex isn't. Sex ISN'T the only way to get attention, and sex ISN'T a tool for use to gain power over people. That's where they need to start, and that's not happening right now. So, you get girls that go around fucking the football team so she can be loved, and boys that go around telling girls that if their boobs are played with more, they'll get bigger. It's not even about morality, it's about respecting each other. Schools can't even get THAT right, so they shouldn't even be teaching sex ed.
