Spot the Error in Logic

OK class. Let’s read this excerpt from this morning’s paper. Extra Bonus Points to anyone who can tell me what alternative action might have led to a better outcome.

About 5 a.m. Saturday, Kavon Chandler, 21, of East St. Louis, was shot in the Ernest Smith Apartments at 14th Street and Pearl Avenue in Centreville, authorities said. Chandler tried to drive himself to Kenneth Hall Regional Hospital in East St. Louis but crashed at 10th Street and Bond Avenue, near the hospital. Chandler was pronounced dead at the scene. Two friends of Chandler’s who were in the car were uninjured.

    It’s called Natural Selection, the only surprise is it didn’t get all three of them. :roll:

    I am still trying to figure out how he got shot in the apartments. That had to be painful.

    (that would be “shot AT the Ernest Smith Apartments” for clarities sake.)

    :lol: I didn’t even get to the word apartments before my brain shut down and went, He was shot in the Ernest Smith? How does one get shot in the Ernest Smith? Of course with three possible drivers, the bleeding to death one always makes the most sense. :shock: (the other two were too drunk or stoned to drive maybe?) :roll:

    I thought the same thing! He got shot in the apartments? Yow! :lol:

    I would have also accepted “he was in the apartment building when he was shot in the…” anatomy part.

    But I do love the logic of, “hey, let’s let the dying guy drive us to the hospital!” :roll:
