Has to be a joke - please?
OK, so random guy sends a request to compare my profile to his. I can accept or deny that request, since the profile contains more “personal” information, not like my SS# but more like “will you take it up the ass” kind of stuff. So I went to look at his profile. The three words he chooses to describe himself are “Docile, docile and benevolent.” He describes himself as unmotivated and says he “fades into the background.”
*sigh*
OK, let me try to make this plain
Me=assertive.
If you ≤ extremely assertive then you ≠ me
So I denied his report request. Later this afternoon I get an email from him which reads only this: “Why don’t you like me? You’re so cool.”
So, I mean, that has to be a joke, right? There’s not a real man in the real world who would seriously say that shit, right? This is a joke profile set up by a non-real guy to play around. If I believe otherwise my mind may invert and get all messy. I like to reply to everyone who messages me, just out of courtesy. But I can’t think of a thing to say to this guy that isn’t incredibly… incredulous.
In better (& way cuter) news I thought it was extremely charming that some guy who wasn’t trying to hit on me (I like them best, much more straightforward) sent me this message:
For the record
…I think you’re one of the funnier, more down-to-earth women on this crazy site! I clicked on your journal by accident while trying to view someone’s picture (damn computer lag!), but I thought your comments were very funny. Funny enough, in fact, to tempt me to look you up again another time (if you don’t mind the “stalker” tag showing up! BWAA HAA HAAAAA!!!).
Anyhow, my dear, have a great rest-of-the-summer! Be good…or be good at it! ;P
Now, isn’t that adorable? I should do that more often, send kudos to people who are funny or cute or talented or whatever. It’s so sweet that he took the time to say that.
Anyway, that’s all my mad adventures for today. I guess I am kinda/sorta going on a date next Saturday. I guess. I mostly agreed, but you know I like to back out of things. I just need a good excuse. If you know of one, throw it my way.

To answer the rest, yes, that was a sweet little note. And no, I don’t think the first guy is a real person. At least I hope not. “Hello. I am a doormat. How are you?” It’s just fine to be a nice, kind, quiet person, but docile??? :shock:
