Gunmen on bicycles shoot two, kill one in St. Louis

ST. LOUIS – A St. Louis man was fatally shot early Sunday morning by gunmen on bicycles, police said.

Juan Almanza, 37, of the 4000 block of Dryden Avenue, was shot multiple times about 1:30 a.m. after an argument with two men, police said.

Almanza and another man, 35, were sitting on a porch in the 3100 block of Utah Avenue when two men rode by on bicycles, stopped and began arguing, police said.

One of the bicyclists then pulled out a gun and shot the two men, police said. Almanza collapsed and died at the scene. The second victim was shot in his leg and ran off.

Police had made no arrests Sunday.
