superbadgirl – Time for #wednesdayplaylist! Give me a song from your early childhood of which you have fond memories, perhaps one your parents listened to?

superbadgirl – I listened obsessively to my Mom’s 8-track with the Shangri-La’s “Leader of the Pack” on it. #iMetHimAtTheCandyStore

jeniburns – @superbadgirl The one that sticks out the most for me is Carly Simon’s Comin’ Around

H_Wallbanger – @superbadgirl Well, I did listen to Puff The Magic Dragon even before I figured out it was about weed.

El_Dickman – @superbadgirl “Tuesday Afternoon” by the Moody Blues. Yeah, they were hippies. I love the ethereal feel to it. #wednesdayplaylist

Sorry I forgot to participate. The Beach Boys’ California Girls (and the whole Endless Summer album) was a great thing to listen to while being a little girl in SoCal.

Peter, Paul, and Mary have definitively stated more times than I care to think about, Puff the Magic Dragon had nothing to do with weed!!!!!!!!!!!!! It’s about the wonder of childhood imagination and growing up! Come on people…let’s kill this urban weed myth.
