Daily FAIL

September 9th, 2009

Shitty UK tabloid The Daily Mail evidently thinks that there’s some way to be “gently” gang-raped.

A New Zealand backpacker vainly begged for mercy as she was ‘violently’ gang-raped near Buckingham Palace, a court heard today.

It’s not just the Daily Mail though these days – it’s all journalists trying to make things sound sensationalist. (Is that a real word?)

So we don’t just have a disaster where 1000 people are killed, we have a “horrific” disaster, or we have a “brutal” murder. Journaliswts never use one word when 3 or 4 will do to describe the same thing.

Actually, now I’m on this subject politicians in particular really piss me off when they say, “This will be a quantum leap forward…” I always want the interviewer to ask, “So you mean it will be something very small and hardly noticable?”

Nothing to do with your post here SBG, but you might appreciate this link. Part of a new comedy show here in the UK. I’ve watched this clip loads of times and always find it funny:
