Wednesday Playlist – Foreign Language Edition

Two weeks ago the list topic was favorite songs in non-English languages. I haven’t had a chance to make the actual playlist, but I am going to to ahead and post the responses here, lest I get three weeks behind.

  • libster77 To continue my Reverend Horton Heat trend, “Cinco De Mayo.” ;)
  • ReaverSlayer “Vamos” by the Pixies for my half-assed foreign language submission
  • DaveWWT Hombre Secreto by the Plugz.
  • arachnophiliac The best French pop song of all time, “Ne Me Quitte Pas”. Nina Simone version or Natacha Atlas version, either one will do.
  • gatewaygroupie I need to change my answer. Ben Folds Five, “Hava Nagila,” in honor of the new JCC, protested by Fred Phelps.
  • libster77 Oh, and I can’t forget “Michelle” by the Beatles.

  • laurabean gipsy kings’ baila me, dead can dance’s rakim (if ms gerrard is speaking an actual language)… kali bhajan is a handle i use which is a song on a cd i have. it also has a cool pele song. i’ll try to find it.

  • mine was “Le Temps Degage” by Bel Canto

    Well I don’t think so, but I did submit 2 classical songs and one in Sindarin (Elven) from Lord of the Rings, so…
