I am actually not this depressed right now – I am just in a mood where I can appreciate the fact that sometimes I do feel this way. Sometimes looking at your melancholy from a distance when you’re not actually sitting in it is a good thing. I think.

i can see myself
i look peaceful and pale
but underneath i can barely inhale
i can hear myself singing the song
over and over until it belongs
to me
