Winter/Summer Garden Animation

January 28th, 2009

Grabbed a garden shot this morning, loved the contrast between winter and summer. The summer picture was taken in early July, right after I got back from my Savannah vacation. The garden was at the height of lushness. Ah, some day it will be summer again.

(Note the absence of dogs in the winter picture – chihuahuas have no patience for snow.)

Your dogs have short legs – there are bits that no one likes to have snow against, which is why they dislike it!

I liek the contrast between the winter/summer. I have thought for a while about setting up a tripod in the spare room and taking a picture of the trees over the valley at the same time every week for a year, then putting them into a movie, fading from one to the other.

Problem is I just KNOW that after 6 months I’d either trip over the tripod, or knock it with something to spoil the position.

Love the contrasting shots! Especially today, it does my heart good to be reminded that there will be green grass again.
