Daily Miscellany 2008-11-21

November 21st, 2008
  • I think Jake’s developed petechia again on his tummy :-( Back to the vet for us in the morning. #
  • Interesting. See some of the ballots in the contested MN Sen. race. http://tinyurl.com/5gew26 #
  • watching @billstreeter live-vlogging his road trip is weirding me out. I keep expecting him to drive by my house. #
  • Back from vet, Jake got stabbed in the neck again. Should hear this afternoon if he’s stopped clotting again. As usual, he acts fine. #
  • In the meantime I have the day off, and am still looking for recommendations for people’s favorite 1st person narrative works of fiction. #
  • Although scrabbling through my bookshelves I did just run across Kage Bakers 1st-person “In the Garden of Iden” which I forgot I loved. #
  • Pondering my NaNo novel which is 1st person & seems alternately too spare, then too drowning in dialogue. Want to read 1st person done well. #
  • I don’t know why these dogs act like it’s a balmy spring day. Apparently they think I’m interested in heating the whole outside! /myDad. #
  • OK, this will make you smile. http://tinyurl.com/5p9956 #
  • Heading out to grocery store then Dave’s for chicken tacos, then out for some drinks. It’s cold and I want to stay home under some blankets. #
  • Dave rocks some chicken tacos, but I started drinking too early. #
