Daily Miscellany 2008-11-20

November 20th, 2008
  • Happy b-day to @ginabanina and @cbellers! Good luck to @The_Cyr! #
  • Here’s another one in the Rollins/Danzig vein – I keep thinking the lady from Concrete Blonde has a shot at becoming homeland security sec. #
  • Cycle: 1) You request work from me 2) I question details of your request 3) You investigate 4) You get back to me to cancel request. (cont) #
  • Can we not just skip to the part where you cancel your nonsensical request, and you could just never contact me in the first place? #
  • I am serious, this man is menacingly stupid. There is nothing he says that makes any sense at all. Ever. He’s anti-sense. #
  • Why would only one of my eyes be bloodshot? #
  • I am so tired right now I could pass out. Plus I keep effing up everything I touch. When’s it going to be 2:30? #
  • 3,567th reminder to self: Never read the comments section for news articles online. You will just end up hating humanity even more. #
  • Shepard Fairey video interview. http://tinyurl.com/6h8tye #
  • I propose a new holiday called “International Smack a Life Coach Day.” #
  • Look at these cool old-timey postcards of St. Louis parks! I <3 the Benton Park ones. http://tinyurl.com/5qx4cs #
  • Help! Suggestions of books you enjoy which are primarily first-person narrative. I would like to have them please. #
  • The sweetest thing in the world (can you spot all three?) http://www.flickr.com/photos/superbadgirl/3047359930/ #
  • Retweet @KBestOliver What. The. Fuck. http://tinyurl.com/6bed7o #

Suggestions of books that are first-person narrative…”Soon I will Be Invincible” – the one you bought last year and have yet to read! And you tell me off for procrastinating!

I read quite a lot of it! Many chapters! Almost half! It’s still on my bedside table in the reading queue!

Ok, since I’m also guilty of starting a book, getting part way through and then leaving it for a newer book that I’d been waiting for then I’ll have to let you off the hook on this one.

But…it is first person narrative all the way through!
