Wired News: Smart Girls Need Smart Pr0n

Interesting article this week, about how most porn makes smart chicks retch. (No! Donkey Punch doesn’t do it for us? You’re kidding!) I have rarely seen porn that was anything other than laughable, and much like the author I get more turned on by regular films that my imagination takes one step further, or things that I read.

One of two things worth mentioning is the writer’s reference to Renderotica. Now, I am as open minded as the next girl. And I would say actually more open-minded than most. But I won’t even visit Renderotica. Aside from the fact that lots of their posted images are of dubious quality (like the non-porn 3D world as well) I can’t find anything erotic or even OK about women being dismembered, spitted like pigs or being run through a sausage grinder. If I cared to open Renderotica I could provide links to the crap they sell that lets you do this in the comfort of your own home. Like I said, I will say live and let live about almost anything consensual, but I don’t think too many women are going to consent to getting run through the sausage grinder. And if that’s what gets you off, you’re a sick fuck. There, I was judgmental. I don’t like it any more than you do, but it had to be done. Anyway I am sorry that R’otica got a plug in a mag like Wired.

Next, the author links to a very interesting site of other 3D porn, Pornotopia. Now – since I work in 3D myself I think my eye is a little more critical than most about 3D animation. But even with the sometimes dodgy quality I do have to appreciate the hard work and imagination that went into these images and short films. In fact, many of the stills are quite nicely done as well as erotic and not degrading to females (as far as I could tell) I will definitely be forwarding this link to a friend who will find it most interesting. I had no idea sites like this were out there, so I am glad to have found it via Wired.

I’ve never even been to Rotica. I figured if it freaked you out, it probably wasn’t a place for me. lol. Don’t even get me started on the enablers who host places that allow stuff like that.

Hey not all of these people you speak of are sick fucks… I know the entire staff at Voreville.com and they’re VERY nice people guys and girls. I actually grew up with them and I help them with their crazy pieces. I’ll admit, some of the things they do is quite abnormal, but they cause no harm. I strongly believe that they use 3d and animation as an outlet. Better that than people trying that stuff in real life wouldn’t you say? People just need to chill and relax a little… such uptight people in the world these days. My god… can’t even do animations without someone getting all upset and reading into shit… :roll: crazy world…

of course it’s always ok for Hollywood to blend and grind up people… :???:

I haven’t been to the site you refer to, but I do feel that anyone who finds the torture (which I would define as the unwanted and/or nonconsensual infliction of pain, or permanent physical damage to another) erotic has issues that need to be addressed. I don’t like to make moral judgements (except against Republicans) but it is not OK to find the idea of someone being hurt against their will erotic. And no, personally I don’t think it’s OK for Hollywood to grind people up for entertainment either, which is why I don’t watch movies like that. I do find it particularly perverse to attach a sexual element to that kind of violence though.

I’ve never even heard of that site. But having spent time discussing sexual deviance with imprisoned offenders, I’m going to have to say it’s only marginally “better” than people trying that stuff in real life.

I’ve never seen a movie where blending and grinding up was going on, either. Unless you count Soylent Green.

But I’m thinking if you have to go about telling people how nice you are, maybe you should wonder why that is. Shouldn’t people be able to tell that on their own?

OMG it’s just animation and fantasy! It’s amazing how such a little idea can be blown so out of proportion. Why can’t people just look at it as being creative… in a special way of course?

As for your comment on me telling how nice they are… I elaborate that they are not “sick fucks” as quoted in that first post. Unless you met them or know them in person, NO, there is no way people can “tell that on their own” how nice they are so I chose to TELL PEOPLE about it….

Wake up. It’s a gateway. Serial killers start with animals; serial sex offenders start with images. Sites that allow images that glorify rape, torture and other horrfic illegal acts are like a pro-sex-offenders support group, no matter what they intend. Ask an offender sometime. I have. You clearly have no clue about them. I really have to wonder why you feel the need to vehemently defend something so fundamentally pathological. And I submit that anyone whose fantasies involve the torture and mutilation of other human beings should seriously get themselves professional mental help before they cross a line they can’t uncross.

Also, I’ve never met Ms. SuperBadGirl in person, but she doesn’t have to go around telling me what a good person she is for me to know it. I can tell on my own. :mrgreen: It’s not rocket science.

No I must disagree. It\\\’s not true in ALL cases. Take my crazy butt for example. You would never believe that I am a Catholic boy who used to be an altar boy with parents that go to church everyday. YET behind all of that, since childhood I developed a liking towards JUST FANSTASY things like seeing monsters eat people, like even in the Litte Shop of Horrors when the plant eats the bad guy. Things like that. I\\\’m 45 years old now and still enjoy that stuff, which has NEVER blossomed into real life situations. I keep this subject private and away from anyone else. Just the thought of those situations in real life do actually sicken me. It\\\’s very difficult to explain but try helping THOUSANDS of people like this… it just happens, I didn\\\’t wish it upon myself but just take a look at forums and sites that go WAY deep into it. It\\\’s like an epidemic! How do you stop those? Is everyone then going to turn into cannibals and rapists???

Well I think it comes down to being raised right. I have a wierd liking towards this stuff BUT my rearing has taught me that this is all just fantasy. In Catholic belief it\\\’s just wrong… but how can I help it? It\\\’s like telling scat lovers not like to like feces.

I didn’t say every single person involved with it was going to be an offender. I said you’re offering up material that excites offenders, and makes them think it’s ok. If you’re proud of that, then I really don’t know what else I can do for you.

Just because people are doing it all over town doesn’t mean it’s ok. The prison in my city is chock full of rapists and child molesters, so lots of people are doing that. And yet we still keep putting them in jail.

And I’m probably going to offend here, but “oh, I’m a Christian” doesn’t impress me. I’m not. I’m actually a godless heathen. :smile:

Hey, Juan? If you’re still listening, I spoke with a licensed, practicing psychotherapist about this yesterday. She treats a lot of people who have served time for sex offenses. And she said pretty much the exact same thing I did. She urges you or anyone else who has these fantasies about violation and dismemberment to seek professional counseling before you become desensitized to it and it doesn’t sicken you offline.
I’m really not trying to judge; I’m trying to help. So please take it that way.
