Daily Miscellany 2008-10-24

October 24th, 2008
  • http://twurl.nl/srh3nt I am liking Chris Matthews more and more. I never paid attention to him before. MSNBC = my new default channel. #
  • BTW, something tells me that “I have five children!” is only considered a positive talking point if you’re a rich white lady. #
  • Massive umbrella FAIL. Spectacular umbrella FAIL, actually. I should probably photograph just how broken this thing got. #
  • Reading through a great presentation about how reputation management is based in having, you know, morals and authenticity -n- stuff. #
  • I think that part of that $150k was used to coat SPalin in Teflon. Shit does not stick to her. Ethics, taxes, abuses of power & budget, bah. #
  • BTW, did anyone else see Pat Buchanan’s illogical rantings in defense of SPalin on @maddow last night? We attack her b/c she’s attractive! #
  • Just subscribed to Paste’s Digital VIP thing http://www.pastemagazine.com/vip/ All the good music w/o adding to my pile of unread magazines! #
  • http://twurl.nl/far1j5 This disgusting pig of a cop that shot this dog should be shot himself. He wouldn’t be safe from me if it was my dog. #
  • Leaving for lunch in Lafayette Square with a friend. Wish it was a nicer day, but still will be fun. #
  • Back from lunch with an old friend. Laughing over the horror story that is my life makes me take it less seriously. This is good. #
  • Needing to leave right on time so I can meet the insurance adjuster at my house and he can tell me nothing’s covered. That’ll be fun times. #
  • At home alone waiting for Jeff the claims adjuster. If later it turns out he was an axe-murderer, please exact some revenge for me, k? #
  • Still waiting for Jeff the claims adjuster. I hate hate hate having strange people over to the house. Esp when I am alone. Bah. #
  • OK JtCA is gone, seemed a nice enough sort. I have not been axe-murdered, which is always a plus. #
  • David Frum is an even bigger a-hole than I thought. After lambasting @maddow for her “unserious” tone, he’s hawking his book on Colbert? #
  • Finally gave in and turned the heat on. Chihuahuas don’t seem impressed with what I consider an appropriate temperature. #
  • In Brian Williams interview, McShame said that the nation’s capitol is New York City. That must be where the VP makes all the legislation. #
