    That poll sums up my entire life. Because chatter and what passes for witter banter in the part of the staffroom I frequent (known as “scum corner”) mainly revolves around inuendo, I can’t get otu of the habit when I’m in a civilian situation with normal people.

    This was almost disastrous a few months ago when I was out having lunch with my girlfriend and her parents and we were talking about films, and what was going to be on TV soon. So my girlfriend’s mother suddenly said, “I’d love to see that film ‘Girl with a Pearl Necklace’ when it is on tv.”

    I somehow managed to avoid giggling as though I was insane, mostly by deliberately not making eye contact with anyone.

    Seriously, it’s the 4th time I’ve seen it, and the 4th time I have gone “WTF, how did that get past Marketing?”

    “Rim Sugar”
    “Margarita Sugar”
    “Glass Sugaring Kit”

    any of these would have removed the problem. But oh no - “Rimming Sugar”. This = BAD mental images, BAD.
