Seedwatch ‘08 cont.
Seed update, the coleus has sprung, and the echinacea (coneflower) is on the verge. I think I had my sunflowers way too far from the light source, and the ornamental cabbage too, so they’re kinda wacky. Now that I can actually move around a bit better I constructed a super-large platform atop the ironing board, to bring eveyrthing closer to the light. Hope it’s not too late to fix them. If it is, well, live and learn!
It’s so NICE to be able to move and do stuff. You have no idea. Or maybe you do. :-) pictures after the jump
- My super-pro seed setup in the scary basement.
- Seeing the seed husk on top is so cool!
- The coleus is sprouting! I have high hopes for these.
- The coneflower begins to emerge!
- If all goes well this will be a HUGE plant this summer, with saucer-sized blossoms.

You’re just a mighty planting machine these days! Wow! The closest I ever get to planting anything is buying seeds or bulbs, and then forgetting about them. Go, you! :-)
