Dabblers, Dabble.

December 27th, 2007

Trying to pleasantly waste my free time in between baking cupcakes and freezing to death. This is another scene from CWaCS, toward the end of the novel. Yumi is discovering something she never wanted to know. This is also the first thing I’ve done with her as a more normal looking person, while still (hopefully) maintaining the graphic style of the other pieces.

The character is exactly the same, but the hairstyle and clothing style have changed.

I couldn’t find any good interior wall shots (growth market, anyone… anyone…?) so I cobbled this together from some furniture in my runtime and images from one of DAZ’s “Dark Designs” packs. I was pleased with the result. I am not going to bother to post this anywhere other than here, as it makes no sense to anyone but… me really – and then only as part of a larger series. Anyway – hope you enjoy.

Nice artistic effect there and I like the antique furniture thing you’ve got going on.

I on the other hand will be doing no Poser or D/S renders for a long time. I tried to organize my runtime some and Poser is now broken (app won’t open) and I can’t remember what the last D/S version I had that actually worked on a Mac was.

Oh well, less distractions from the film I need to finish for school.

I have been doing much less myself. Ever since my old HD bit the dust in June, actually, I’ve just had too many other things going on. And it seems that every piece I start ends up taking 8-10 hours, it’s too much effort unless I am really inspired. How’s the film doing?

The film’s going well. I may have been a bit over ambitious this time around though so really need to bust my butt to get done on time.

Starting to regret that I took a week off from the film to do something for the Renderosity contest. They had such great prizes in the past and I was half done before they posted this year’s prizes which, well, pretty much suck compared to previous years.

Very nice picture – great effect on it.

I’m finally able to comment on stuff here again after several days of thinking I’d lost my password and the new one wasn’t working…turned out I was missing the capital at the start of my name *blush*

Thanks Dim! And I was wondering why I kept getting “password reset” notifications on you, silly boy.
